Normal bone marrow

In this aspirate from a bone marrow of a 5 year old dog, marrow cellularity is normal with cellular spicules containing hematopoietic cells and iron (red arrows) with small amounts of fat (black arrow) (roughly 80:20 hematopoietic:fat ratio). A few mature megakaryocytes are seen in the lower part of the image (Wright’s stain, 10x objective).
