Plasma appearance

Centrifuged microhematocrit tubes from various animals demonstrate normal plasma (tubes 1, 3, 4 and 7), moderately to severely hemolyzed plasma (tube 2), mildly hemolyzed plasma (tube 5) and mildly yellow plasma (tube 6). The latter could indicate icterus (hyperbilirubinemia) or be a normal finding in equine or bovine plasma.
