There is an expanded population of intermediate to large cells (nuclei the same size or larger than adjacent neutrophils), with fine chromatin (arrows). The uniformity of the cells is compatible with a neoplastic population (modified Wright stain, 20x objective). The arrowhead is pointing to a smudged cell.
