Figure 1b: No leukocytes or platelets are evident in this image and red blood cells are sparse, compatible with the CBC results. There are a few macrocytes (RBC of normal color but larger than normal) but no polychromatophils (purple or immature RBC) or basophilic stippling, indicating that the anemia is non-regenerative (Wright’s stain, 500x magnification)
