Tracheal wash from a dog: The aspirate contains mucus and many eosinophils. Results would be compatible with an eosinophilic bronchopneumopathy, which is considered an immune-mediated condition, however allergies such as asthma or hypersensitivity reactions to parasites, e.g. heartworm, should also be considered.
