This is a representative compilation of the appearance of the osteoblasts in the cytologic sample. The nucleus was oval and eccentric, and the cytoplasm was deep blue with a perinuclear clearing / pink granulation, which are characteristic features of reactive osteoblasts. They did not display cytologic criteria of malignancy, therefore were interpreted as reactive, not neoplastic. (Diff-Quik stain, 100x objective)
