The blasts are showing features of monocytic differentiation as seen by the irregular to indented nuclei (long arrows) and maturing monocytes (one depicted by the arrowhead). A dysplastic neutrophil with a long elongated hyposegmented nucleus is also present in this image (short arrow) (100x objective, modified Wright’s stain).
