In this section of marrow, there are more blasts with low numbers of identifiable neutrophils (including dysplastic forms, such as shrunken hypersegmented cells and giant cells with elongated hyposegmented nuclei), monocytes (some of which are dysplastic, with large nuclei) and eosinophils (identified by their large red cytoplasmic granules) (Hematoxylin & Eosin, 100x objective).
