The neoplastic spindle cells (arrowheads) are embedded within light blue mucinous matrix material (*), mimicking that seen in the cytologic smears. The neoplastic cells have indistinct borders; a moderate amount of pale, eosinophilic cytoplasm and oval nuclei, with finely stippled chromatin and a single nucleolus.
