Representative image of a Wright’s-stained blood smear from a cow with decreased milk production and uniformly swollen teats (1000x magnification). The smear was prepared from the mailed-in EDTA tube, which had been in transit for 24 hours (note the platelet clumps in the image – most apparent center bottom).
