Serum protein electrophoresis (SPE) from a horse with bicytopenia and hyperglobulinemia. There is a monoclonal band in the gamma region, with a somewhat broad base, indicating a monoclonal gammopathy. Note that the cut-offs are abritrary and we used to put the post-albumin shoulder in the alpha2 region using agarose gel electrophoresis (technique used herein).
